OK, Late Addition To This Week’s Fantasy iTunes Squad

7 Oct

I didn’t think I was getting this until next week, but HipHopDX editor Jake Paine hit the inbox with this earlier tonight.

6th Man: The Foreign Exchange, Leave It All Behind – This is the sophomore album from Foreign Exchange, the duo of rapper Phonte of Little Brother and Dutch producer Nicolay. A lot has changed between their debut, Connected, and now: Nicolay has moved to North Carolina to work with Phonte more closely, Little Brother’s got another album under their belt, and with Rapper Big Pooh working on his project with Detroit producer Young RJ, Phonte has even more time to dedicate to FE. I’ve heard that Phonte sings a lot more on this project than he has previously, and the genre on the iTunes was “Soul/R&B;” I’m not sure how I feel about him rapping that much less, but I’m still looking forward to hearing it.
